Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions we hear most often about screen printing, DTF transfers, artwork, turnaround and ordering at Printex Worldwide in Hallandale Beach, Florida. Still stuck? Call (954) 518-0722 or email printexww@gmail.com.

What is the minimum order for screen printing?

The screen printing minimum at Printex Worldwide is 144 pieces per order. That minimum applies to screen printed apparel. DTF gang sheets are ordered by the sheet through our online gang sheet builder or uploader, so they are not subject to the 144-piece screen printing minimum. If you are not sure which route fits your quantity, call us at (954) 518-0722 and we will tell you honestly which method is cheaper for your job.

How long does an order take? What is your turnaround time?

Standard turnaround is 10 business days and is included in your price at no extra cost. If you need it faster, we offer 7 business day turnaround for an additional $100 and 5 business day turnaround for an additional $200 per order. Turnaround starts once artwork is approved, not when the order is placed, so getting your proof approved quickly is the single best way to keep your ship date.

Do you offer same-day DTF transfers?

Yes. DTF gang sheet orders ship the same day. Order your gang sheet through the builder or uploader and it goes out that day, which makes DTF the fastest option we offer for last-minute jobs and reorders.

What decoration methods does Printex Worldwide offer?

We offer two decoration methods: screen printing and full color DTF (direct-to-film) transfers. Screen printing is our core service for larger apparel runs, and full color DTF covers photographic, multi-color and small-batch work. We are a print shop first, so both methods are produced in-house.

Do you do embroidery or UV DTF?

No. We do not currently sell embroidery or UV DTF. Printex Worldwide specializes in screen printing and full color DTF. If your project needs a decoration method we don't offer, call (954) 518-0722 or email printexww@gmail.com and we will tell you straight rather than take a job we can't do well.

What print sizes do you offer?

Our standard print sizes are: Left Chest at 4.5" wide, Standard at 11" wide, and Oversized at 14.5" wide. Sleeve prints are 3.5" wide and back prints are 14.5" wide. Choosing a smaller print size does not usually change your per-piece price, so pick the size that fits the design rather than the budget. If you need a size outside this list, ask us before you send artwork.

What artwork files do you need?

We prefer vector artwork (.ai or .eps) because it scales to any print size with clean edges and separates cleanly for screen printing. If you only have raster art, send it at 300 DPI as a .png, .jpg or .pdf at or near final print size. Low-resolution logos pulled from a website will look soft when printed, so send us the best original file you have and we will tell you if it will hold up.

Will I see a proof before you print?

Yes. Every order gets a free proof or mockup before printing, at no charge. Nothing goes on press until you approve it. Please review the proof carefully for spelling, color, placement and size, because approved art is what we print. See our Terms & Conditions for the full art approval policy.

How much does screen printing cost?

Screen printing pricing depends on your quantity, the number of ink colors in the design, the number of print locations, and the garment you choose. Because those four variables move the price significantly, we quote every job individually rather than publishing a flat rate. Send your design, garment preference and quantity to printexww@gmail.com, or call (954) 518-0722, and we will get you a real number.

What is a DTF gang sheet?

A DTF gang sheet is a single sheet of transfer film with multiple designs "ganged" together to use the space efficiently. Instead of paying per individual transfer, you fill a sheet with as many designs, sizes and repeats as will fit and pay for the sheet. It is the most cost-effective way to buy DTF transfers, especially when you are running many different designs or sizes at once.

What is the difference between the DTF gang sheet builder and the uploader?

The builder is an online tool where you upload your individual images and arrange, size and duplicate them on the sheet yourself before checkout. The uploader is for customers who have already laid out a finished, print-ready gang sheet file and just need it printed as-is. Use the builder if you want us to handle layout tooling; use the uploader if your art department already built the sheet.

Screen printing or DTF — which should I choose?

Choose screen printing for larger runs of the same design with a limited number of ink colors: it hits our 144-piece minimum, gives the softest and most durable hand on cotton, and gets cheaper per piece as quantity climbs. Choose full color DTF for photographic or many-color artwork, small quantities, mixed designs in one order, or when you need it shipped the same day. If you're on the fence, tell us your quantity and color count and we will point you to the cheaper method.

Can I buy blank apparel without printing?

Yes. Along with custom printed apparel, Printex Worldwide sells blank apparel. That is useful if you need extra stock to match a printed order, samples to check fit before committing to a run, or plain goods for another purpose. Contact us with the brand, style number and sizes you need.

Do you make promotional and marketing products?

Yes. In addition to custom apparel and DTF gang sheets, we produce marketing and promotional products. If you are putting together a branded package — shirts plus giveaway items for an event, for example — email printexww@gmail.com with what you have in mind and we will scope it.

Do you ship orders?

Yes. We ship from our facility in Hallandale Beach, Florida, and DTF gang sheet orders ship the same day. For shipping methods, transit times and rates on a specific order, contact us at (954) 518-0722 or printexww@gmail.com — we would rather quote your actual shipment than give you a number that turns out to be wrong.

What happens if there is a problem with my order?

Contact us right away. Under our Terms & Conditions, claims must be made within 72 hours of delivery, and that policy also covers standard industry allowances for spoilage and under-runs as well as our art approval terms. Read those terms before you order so there are no surprises, and call us the moment something looks off rather than waiting.

How long has Printex Worldwide been in business?

Printex Worldwide has been printing for over 40 years. That longevity matters in this industry: it means our press operators have seen your garment, your ink color and your deadline before, and it means we are still here when you need a reorder next season.

Where are you located and how do I contact you?

Printex Worldwide is located at 2037 SW 31st Ave, Hallandale Beach, FL 33009. Call (954) 518-0722 or email printexww@gmail.com. For screen printing, send us your design, garment and quantity and we will quote it; for DTF, start with the gang sheet builder or uploader and your order ships the same day.
